2-0 down at half time finished 2-2. Yate looked poor to be fair, we again started badly and turned it round 2nd half. Well done lads another good fightback.

Good exciting game - fair due to both teams for putting it all in...
Game started as normal playing towards the School End and all going in favour of Yate - what's new... Yate were awarded an early penalty after a clear push in the box by Town fullback Thomas, who also received a yellow card for the trouble. Not a good start with a tricky winger like Groves to mark.
Wilson stepped up and converted adding another goal to his impressive season tally. Only several minutes later Groves doubled the score for Yate with a well worked move and great low finish. Town struggle to get momentum but did have several half chances with two goal line clearances by Yate defenders, not helped by a clearly nervous away keeper making his first First Team appearance. At the other end Wilson had a turning shot firing just wide, Yate also hit the post from a free kick but well covered by town keeper.
As normal, Town started briskly playing towards the Car Park end testing Yates nervous looking keeper. It was only a matter of time after the introduction of town sub Bird, that Town would get there just reward with Sommers getting his first of a very rapid brace. Only two minutes elapsed before Sommers got his head to a low cross and second goal of the game. With 30mins still left to play it was going to be an interesting finale...
Chances came and went - Sommers working his way across the box blasting wide with a powerful shot, Yate going close with various opportunities, none as clear cut as Wilsons blast over the bar, open goal looming in the 90+3 minute of play
Best player on the pitch was Groves of Yate. Simple but effective, and also being marked Town's latest starlet - Kerian thomas. Good draw for town although the momentum at 2-2 and still 30mins to go could have won them the match. Yate probably felt hard done by with such a strong opening 45 and end flurry. Draw a fair result for the 138 who watched a very interesting game.
Considering Town had lost the core of their team before Xmas, Goalie, Captain, and top scorer, two of those to Yate - we haven't done bad post Noel. As most of us feel we do see some odd subs at times, we have to give the manager and team credit for getting us back on the rails. Well done all...

Thought we played well when Bird came on, calmed things down a bit. Andy Lewis my man of the match, Kerian did well against there tricky winger.
Well done lads, just lack a bit of pace up front.
