All played well - no missing links - played 442 and looked far more comfortable. Good balanced write up on the Wimborne site. Special praise for Scot Wilson - looked lively and linked up well. His first goal was superb. Given that everyone had been stuck on the coach for hours this was arguably the best performance this season.

Theres an excellent match report on their website--www. wimbornetownfc.co.uk/2012/09/wimborne-town-1-cinderford-town-3/ They say we outplayed them and that our pace and movement was the difference. At last we are getting the results the players deserve. Wimborne Town 1 Cinderford Town 3
Despite a spirited second half performance Wimborne were outplayed by a disciplined Cinderford Town side, John Ingleson reports. Matt Kemble equalised with his first touch after coming on as a substitute, and for a short spell it looked as though the home side might push on to win the game, but Cinderford scored a second against the run of play. A breakaway third goal in injury time gave the scoreline a slightly flattering look for the Gloucestershire side. Steve Cuss opted to field the same starting line-up that brushed Clevedon aside in midweek, but Cinderford were to prove far tougher opposition. They dominated all the opening exchanges, and their movement and passing caused problems for the Magpies’ defence right from the start. There were early warnings with a curled effort just wide of the upright, and a free-kick which came back off the post, so when they finally took the lead on 20 minutes it came as no surprise. Scott Wilson, who looked sharp all day, raced onto a through ball and lashed it emphatically past Dan Ackerman in the Wimborne Town goal. The visitors continued to dominate, and Ackerman had to get down quickly to his left to save a snap-shot from man-mountain Lewis Somers. Wimborne showed glimpses of the football that had lifted the team to the heady heights of second in the league prior to kick-off, but the stout Cinderford defence ensured any threats were quickly snuffed out. It took until the fortieth minute for the hosts to get a significant chance. George Webb beat the offside trap, but he will be bitterly disappointed to have scuffed his shot wide of the target. The visitors therefore took their 1-0 lead into the half-time break, and the home stalwarts did not have too much to complain about. Wimborne didn’t have a bad first half, but Cinderford were slightly better in all areas of the pitch. Their defence looked pretty miserly and their pace and creativity up front had given them the edge. Wimborne started the second period with much more attacking endeavour, and good spells of possession in the opposition half eventually began to create a few chances. Webb again got through on goal, but his effort was blocked by good covering defending. Shortly after he blazed another shot over the bar, and Jamie Davidson curled an effort narrowly round the right upright. The home side finally had some momentum and Cuss decided to gamble with an attacking substitution. Nathan Peprah-Annan and Tom Jeffes came off around the hour mark, to be replaced by Matt Kemble and Steve Smith. For the second time in a week, the substitutions paid off immediately. Scott Arnold crossed from the right flank, and Matt Kemble climbed the highest to score his second headed goal in as many games. The home side continued to have the majority of the play, and it looked like another three points could be on the cards. However, in a rare foray into the Wimborne half Cinderford managed to force a corner. It was initially headed against the bar, and Warren Archer reacted the quickest to head home the rebound and restore Cinderford’s lead. This sucker punch knocked some of the stuffing out of the home side, and although Wimborne continued to press for an equaliser, they always looked vulnerable to a counter-attack, having only three players across the back. Eventually the inevitable happened, and in injury time Scott Wilson raced clear to score his second and Cinderford’s third

Good report, glad we went 4-4-2 easier for the players to understand and with the quality we have can make that system, its much more solid, great stuff.
