The Causeway pitch is better than ours and I look forward to the game when its played as well as we always have good games against you.
It's been a bugger of a Christmas and likely the New Year as well as far as football is concerned for us as it's likely our game at Shortwood tomorrow is going to be postponed as well. No matter how good a pitch is as far as draining is concerned as has been said it will only take to much and unfortunately the Met Office is very good at forecasting rain but poor at forecasting dry, sunny weather! Maybe that should have been taken into account which has been the point of my argument.
As far as jamienufcknight is concerned the ripping down of those flags was deplorable although the first one did come down of its own accord. It's noticeable that he mentioned that but failed to respond to my rebuttal of his comment that I felt Cinderford were not a good non league side. Obviously the reason for that is that I don't believe that and I've never said it and I wonder where he got that comment from? As with the flags it's obvious every club has idiots who support them!
Anyway, onwards and upwards and I look forward to renewing rivalry on the pitch - hopefully it'll be dry when you come down to visit us over Easter!

For your information MTFC OLD SOD.................... a small team of guys were working on the pitch at 0900 Boxing Day and even after the pitch was passed to play they stayed until 1140 before heading home to get changed to come back to help out on the gate/bar etc. At 1155 the heavens opened for 15 mins of heavy rain. As a fan living close to the ground I popped over to find small puddles developing. The pitch was certainily playable at 1155 but I (the guy ith the squeezy machine) tried my best to rescue the game but the rain wouldn't stop. You can blame who you want but the ref was hopeful to play on his first inspection but obviously not on the second. DO NOT BLAME THE CLUB for calling the game off as the pitch was definately playable at 1155 !!! Those with local knowledge will know that Cinderfords ground can have 4 inches of snow and half a mile away no one has even seen any snow and visa versa ? Very unpredictable area for weather.

You are not allowed to cancel a game based on the weather forecast. Nobody is in the wrong here. It's just one of those things that you have to accept in non league football. Simple.
