Last year we conceded 39 goals in 40 league games. So far this season we have conceded 42goals in exactly half the games ie 20 matches.Whats happened to our defensive qualities?

I think the problem is we keep changing thd players, last year we pretty much stuck with the same back 4, this season it changes most weeks.

Or is it the contribution of the midfield-bearing in mind we are scoring more goals .Or is it the loss of Johnsey?

Steve Peters has hit the nail on the head in this weeks Forester when he says there are no bad teams in this league. That is probably why we have more goals against, We are losing to teams in the bottom half but are beating teams in the top half and so are many other teams. A few seasons ago you could have said at this time of the season who was going to be in the top six and the bottom six, you would struggle to do that this season.

The problem i see is a team is made up if partnerships all over the pitch, two centre backs who know each others game whi goes for the crunching tackles who waits to pick up thr loose balls, your LB and LM need to work together, same as RB and RM they need to understand each other and cover each other, same as your two CM , who goes forward who covers, and of course the same with strikers, our problem is we change the team most weeks so the dynamics if the team changes.

The answer is up there somewhere.WE are half way thro season,so plenty of possibilities for us to get it together and put together improved performances. I dont think there is need for a lot of changes to personnel. A good `together `dressing room will get us the improved results we all would like to see.Hope Stevey P can pick the bones out of the first half of the season and get us up the table.Last season we had a very poor home record, this season its better ,so lets start with a fortress causeway attitude.Maybe we need to play much more defensively away from home.Whatever , I look forward to the rest of the season. BOXXON the TOWN.

Like most on here ive watched alot of non league football, ive found the teams that go up aint always the team with the best players , but the team that works as a unit, organised and play as a team, also have a leader on the pitch to organiae the team, something we miss.

With all the local derby's this was always going to be a tough division. The best team will almost certainly not win it - they tend to get a little complacent and drop stupid points. The teams that normally win, graft out the results and get a seasons worth of the run of the ball
As a supporter I've had value for money at the Causeway this season, and that's just not Notchy's chips. Lots of entertaining open games, but... sadly something not quite clicking. I'd prefer slightly less entertainment and a safer league position
Last season our home record wasn't good but we seemed to be a little more solid, particularly in defense. We were strong away which keep us in good stead and feel we had a bit more mobility. Losing our goalie so early this season has been a blow, and finding a good replacement has cost us some points.
It's essential that the experienced players now step up to the plate, and get the team ticking - the manager can only do so much. The next ten day weather forecast is dire so games could be an issue, and there's almost certain to be a mass of three game weeks to come.
Take a look at the remaining fixtures and work out how many games you think we can comfortably win on current form... You then see that we need to be much more consistent, and a little less complacent...
