Tomorrow night's game is something I have been looking forward to for a long time. Cirencester technically speaking is not a derby, but it really has the feel of one. There is no love loss between both clubs over the past few years. Strictly speaking they have no fan base at all. They have a very good ground, albeit in the middle of nowwhere and their gates reflect this. I know we as a club do not have a huge fan base, but we are a down-to-earth club and no disrespect but our ground is of a poor standard. Many of us still find it hard to accept the way one of our ex managers left us and went to Cirencester. In doing so, poached most of our players and ran the club down in the press. Since then it has always given this game a certain edge to it. I can't wait to beat Cirencester tomorrow night. Let's forget about Saturday and put it down to a bad day at the office. Up the town!

It was a very big disapointment tonight losing 2-1 to Cirencester tonight. It was a slightly better performance than Saturday but not much. I realise that we are missing some influential players but we must face the facts that we did not play well this evening. Football is a strange game as although we played poorly we should have won the game comfortably. We missed two penalties by Lee smith, had a CLEAR goal disallowed and their keeper Matt Bath was man of the match. To be honest I cannot criticise Lee Smith too much. I like him as a person, player and nobody misses penalties on purpose. Although, the question needs to be asked on why he is taking penalties in the first place. Last season he missed numerous penalties for Gloucester City. Cirencester were a decent team. They looked well organise and expierenced. They didn't play great football either but looked a solid outfit. They would have left The Causeway tonight a very happy, albeit bemused team. We should have won the game 4-2 but for some rotten luck. Normally this would be harder to take, but as everyone knows who watched the game tonight; Cinderford did not play well. Once again we struggled in keeping the ball on the floor, and asked too much from our front men. Hopefully with players coming back to fitness and a bit of fortune we can rectify this on Saturday. Up the town!

Didnt play well at all, but didnt deserve to lose, think we miss Bird in the middle and Sommers up front to hold the ball up. Where was Randell? Heard hes gone missing! Best player for us tonight was Matt Smith, solid at the back and great passing from him, thought Dean Lee and lee Smith struggled tonight, Scott Wilson worked hard but lacks something, not sure what it is though. Oh well, on to saturday.

Well what is there to say , wwe should have won missed two pens and had a decent goal disallowed at the end There are players going missing tonight just hope Mr Peters changes things around Saturday some one has already mentioned it in a previous post at least we have Bird and Tait to comeback for for Saturday and just hope Sommers is also available answer was not good enough on the night tonight's subs were ok but could not change the game in any way
Still have faith that the squad is good enough to get us in the playoffs roll on Saturday

Can't believe we lost the game last night. I'm no expert, but why, when we have a small striker in Scott Wilson, do we insist in lumping goal kicks to him when he has little chance in the air against tall central defenders. Surely it would be better for Johnsy to throw the ball out to wide fullbacks and build our attacks at low level rather than "kick and hope" where we tend to lose possesion straight away. Also, why play Dean Lee (a superb wing man) when most of the time the ball is played up the middle. We can also call upon Matt Barnes on the other wing. Baffles me - but then I'm not a football tactician. What I do know is that we should have beaten a workmanlike but average Ciren team even though our performance was not that good, especially the first 45 minutes.

We just weren't good enough on the night. Ciren were a yard quicker to the ball than some of our lads.

Need to play the ball on the ground and get people in the box.
If we carry on with this long ball stuff then we will carry on being found out!
Scott is a good footballer when its at his feet not 10 feet over his head!
starting team last night - baffling to say the least.all seems a bit aimless at present.
